Subscriptions are available in two sizes, both Subscription sizes feature 3 deliveries of locally grown Dahlias
Bouquet - 15 stems
Bucket- 40 stems
Free delivery is included for Windsor and all of Essex County. Subscription recipients will be contacted prior to their first delivery with delivery details.
Dahlias are locally grown in LaSalle and subscriptions are anticipated to start mid-late August/Early September unless otherwise affected by weather. Should any delays occur this will be communicated by email.
Dahlias come in a wide range of shades and shapes, this is one of the million reasons we love them. Colours and bloom shape/size vary with changing harvests. Subscription orders typically feature at least two different bloom colours and we do our best to change those combinations week to week. Possible colours include: Pink, Orange, Peach, Burgundy, Yellow, Purple, White, Blush.
ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE NON REFUNDABLE however they are transferable if need be.
Colour Pop Dahlia Subscriptions feature Dahlia blooms grown right here in Windsor Essex. Locally grown blooms are fresher, longer lasting and better for the environment compared to standard imported blooms. This is because Colour Pop blooms go straight from the farm to your table, with no stops in between. Imported blooms are packed into boxes and spend the majority of their life in transit, stuck in cargo planes and trucks awaiting their lengthy final destination. By this time most imported blooms have past their peak while racking up a serious eco foot print.
Dahlia pricing reflects the 8 months of growing time, growing expenses (heat, water, fertilizer), growing supplies (tubers, soil, irrigation lines, support netting), labour for planting, maintaining and harvesting the crop and the gas (free delivery to anywhere in Essex County) that is needed to produce and distribute Dahlia bouquets.

Dahlia blooms are not widely available as they are difficult to ship and most growers sell them directly to floral wholesalers who in turn sell them to florists at a wholesale markup. Florists then have to add their own retail markup in order to sell to the public. This process usually results in bouquets being sold from anywhere between $75 -$100+( 5- 10 stems), so it isn’t feasible for most florists to sell.
This inspired me to start growing my own Dahlias, because we the people deserve Dahlias in our lives. By growing and selling my Dahlias through my Subscription it allows me to offer superior blooms at a more competitive price.
Growing Dahlias is not an easy feat. The process requires year round attention and action. Growing Dahlias involves storing tubers throughout the winter, propagating them in the early spring, planting them out in the field early summer, weeding, staking, watering and loving them all the while and then harvesting blooms and finally digging up the tubers for storage in late fall.
